In a sudden shock of Egyptian art lovers, the artist Suleiman Eid died in the early hours of Friday morning after suffering a sudden heart attack at the age of 56. The last appearance of the artist Suleiman Eid was yesterday in the funeral of the artistic producer, Salah Hassan.
The news announced by his son through his official account on Facebook by writing “My father in the protection of God” has left a great impact between his fans and colleagues.
The funeral prayer was held after Friday prayers at the Grand Mosque in the Islamic Complex in Sheikh Zayed, where many friends and colleagues of the late gathered in the artistic community to bid him farewell.
Among the most prominent attendees were the artists Mohamed Imam, Ahmed El -Sakka, Ahmed Khaled Saleh, Mohamed Jumaa, Ahmed Rizk, Ashraf Abdel Baqi, Hisham Majed, Mohamed Mahmoud, the scriptwriter Ayman Salama, and producer Mahmoud Shmeis, in addition to many public and close figures.
The attendees were presented by the Syndicate of Representative Professions, Dr. Ashraf Zaki, the artist Shaima Seif and her husband, producer Mohamed Carter, Hossam Dagher, Mohamed Riad, Ihab Fahmy, Reham Abdel Ghafour, director Moataz Al -Touni, director Sharif Arafa, and the media Tariq Allam.
The funeral also witnessed the arrival of many friends and colleagues who expressed their deep sorrow, while the artist Salah Abdullah collapsed from crying on his late friend.
Technical achievements
The artist Suleiman Eid was born on October 17, 1968 in the Kit Kat neighborhood in Giza Governorate.
He began his artistic journey in the late eighties, and achieved a strong start in the Egyptian world of cinema in 1992 through his participation in the movie “Terrorism and Pur” with the artist Adel Imam, this role was the beginning that illuminated his way to become one of the most prominent faces of comedy in Egyptian cinema.
The late artist Suleiman Eid left a clear imprint in the world of comedy by presenting various roles that combined humor and depth.
He participated in many distinguished films such as “Dark Birds” (1995), “Sleep in Honey” (1996) and “Hammam in Amsterdam” (1999), as he added his own touch that made these films immortal in the audience’s memory, and also starred in a large number of TV series and plays to become one of the most productive artists in Egypt.
The outcome of his artwork reached more than 150 works that varied between cinema, television, theater and TV programs.
His latest artwork
The last work of the late artist Suleiman Eid was in the movie “Far with 7 Tarsh”, which is currently being shown in cinemas.
The film depends on the group championship, and includes more than 22 artists, including Ahmed Fathi and Edward, and also contains a number of new faces.
The movie “Far with 7 Tars” is considered one of the comic films that met a good interaction from the audience, and it is a new addition to the balance of the late artist, who was still giving his distinguished roles.

Suleiman Eid was able to leave a great impact on various types of art, as his success was not limited to serious works only, but rather had a prominent role in presenting the comic works that won the love of a wide audience in Egypt and the Arab world.
