Spanish media reported that clashes took place between Tottenham and Manchester United fans before the European Championship final later began today, Wednesday.
The clashes took place in the center of the city of Bilbao, and some neighboring cities, as a large number of fans were set up to avoid high residence costs in the host city.
According to local officials, more than 50,000 English fans were expected to attend Bilbao.
There were no reports of serious injuries in the confrontations, which often occurred during the night with the arrival of the masses.
The photos published by the Spanish media showed fans in a clash with each other on the streets of Bilbao, and some dumping others, garbage boxes, and bottles.

Reports indicated other confrontations in San Sebastian and Santander (other cities in the Basque region) that were filled with English fans, many of them without tickets to attend the final.
The European Football Association (UEFA) warned the fans against buying unauthorized tickets, and indicated that such tickets would likely not allow them to enter the stadium.
Each club got only 15 thousand tickets out of the stadium capacity of 50 thousand seats, while the price of some tickets was only 40 euros (about 45 dollars).
