The City of Flin Flon Told Its Residents to Brace for a Possible Evaculation on Tuesday As a Wildfire That Started at a Landfill in Creighton, SASK., Crossed Over the Manitoba Border.
Flin Flon, Whiche is 630 Kilometres Northwest of Winnipeg by the Saskatchewan Border, SAID IT issted a pre-evaculation notice Tuesday Night Due to Dr. Conditions and Proximity to the Fire.
On Tuesday afternoon, City Officials Said The Fire Crossed Kisseynew Lake Road North of Trout Lake Mine. Cliff Lake Road and Kisseynew Lake Road Have Been Closed to the Public.
In a statement posted to Facebook at 7:40 PM, City Officials Suggested that Residents Prepare An Emergency Kit That Includes Prescyncy Medicals, Personal ITEMS Like Cluting, Pet Supplies, Phones and Laptops, Important Documents, and Valuable or Meangful ITEMS that cannot be used.
Vehicles Should Be Fully Fuelled and Travel Ready, The City Warned.
Officials are asking vulnerable people who would be restire help During An Evaculation to Register in Person at City Hall or Call 833-210-6435.
An evaculation center will be set up if the Fire Situlation Gets Worse, The City SAID.
Across the Border, The Town of Creighton is also Asking Citizens to Pre-RGister In Case of a Possible Evaculation.
Creight Said Its Fire Department Continues to Work Alongside Provincial Wildfire Officials from Both Manitoba and SASKATCHEWAN to Control the Fire.
