Liverpool player Trent Alexander Arnold lost his composure, and he was crying after the team’s coronation ceremony at the Premier League title, on Sunday evening.
Liverpool ended the season with a draw at home with Crystal Palace 1-1 in the evening, which is the last match for Arnold, whose contract with the club ended this summer, where he is expected to join Real Madrid soon.
Arnold participated as an alternative in the second half, and he had an influential farewell during the coronation ceremony, before being crying in front of his family.
In his statements to Sky Sports: “I didn’t know what I would feel after what happened a few weeks ago, when I once again stepped in Anfield. I wanted to play for the club last time. I said that to the coach, trusted me and decided to involve me between the two halves.”
He added: “The reaction I received means everything to me. I have played hundreds of matches for this club, but I did not feel so much love and care from the fans as I felt today.”
“From the bottom of my heart, I hope that the fans of the club and its fans will one day realize the size of the work and the sacrifices I made to the team. There was no one moment – not even a minute – I did not think about the interest of the team.”
He added, “Since I was six years old until now twenty -sixth. Twenty years are a very long time. I loved every minute, with all its rise and decline.”
And he added: “This is all that I knew in my life. I will keep these moments for the rest of my life, especially on a day. It is the best day in my life undisputed. A very special day, and a special achievement for the team and the club.”
“Liverpool means everything to me. As I said, I have given everything possible for this club.”
