Special human rights for Shihab: The famine in Gaza is exacerbated by state -states of “Israeli” for aid

Special – Shehab

Humanitarian Alaa Al -Sukafi, Director of the Conscience for Human Rights, stressed that the levels of hunger and malnutrition are witnessing a dangerous escalation in the Gaza Strip, especially in Gaza City and the northern Gaza Strip, where more than two million civilians live in catastrophic humanitarian conditions that threaten their lives daily.

Al -Sukafi human rights rights stated that this comes in light of the strict “Israeli” siege, the continued destruction of the infrastructure, and the closure of border crossings for more than 87 consecutive days.

Al -Skafi told (MeteorThe repeated “Israeli” allegations regarding the facilitation of the introduction of humanitarian aid does not reflect the field reality on the ground.

He pointed out that the occupation announced the opening of the first distribution point for aid in the Tal Sultan in Rafah, in a move that it described as lacking any legal or humanitarian legitimacy, and constitutes a flagrant violation of the rules of international humanitarian law.

He explained that this step came in the context of attempts to mislead world public opinion under increasing international pressure on the “Israeli” occupation to introduce aid.

Al -Sukafi added that this distribution point has failed from the first day to meet the minimum needs of the population, and even devoted a method that insults the dignity of citizens.

He pointed out that the assistance that entered only 1% of the size of the aid is actually required, especially in the northern regions that are difficult to reach due to the security situation and the absence of safe humanitarian corridors.

Al -Sukafi quoted the World Food Program that the residents of the northern Gaza Strip are living in a “catastrophic” level of food insecurity, which is the highest classification according to the fifth stage of the integrated phased dietary security classification (IPC), and that most children suffer from acute malnutrition may lead to death if the relief is not allowed urgently and enough.

Al -Sakafi called on the international community to stop the false “Israeli” novel, and to work immediately to open safe and permanent humanitarian corridors to deliver food, water and medicine without obstacle to all areas of the Gaza Strip, warning that continuing to ignore this crisis amounts to the level of collusion with the ongoing human crime.
