Bayern Munich star Thomas Muller praised the Benfica goalkeeper, after the match that ended with the Bavarian loss 0-1 against the Portuguese team, at the end of the group stage of the Club World Cup.
“We performed very well in the second half, we played fiercely when acquiring the ball, and we were exhausted by Benfica, but their goalkeeper was strong,” Muller said in statements via the FIFA official website.
“We have beented some easy opportunities, and we must accept it, because it is a matter of football,” the veteran striker added.
Regarding the next confrontation in the round of 16, Bayern Munich star confirmed, “We are waiting for a difficult match against Flamingo, which will be in a large crowd in Miami.”
For his part, Benfica goalkeeper Anatoly Trobin said: “It was a good match against an amazing team, I am very happy, I am not only happy for me but for the entire team.”
“We made our best to win, and we did our work and qualified for the next round,” Tropin added.
Benfica is awaiting the final price, confronting Chelsea and the summer of the fourth group.
