The Meteorological Authority has announced a gradual decline in the recent hot wave. Manar Ghanem, a member of the media center of the authority, said that the temperatures today will witness a slight decrease of two degrees Celsius compared to the past days, after exceeding 40 degrees Celsius.

Despite the slight decrease, humidity rates are still significantly high, exceeding 95% in coastal areas and up to 85% in Greater Cairo and Lower Egypt, which increases the feeling of heat.
Ghanem explained that the southern governorates record the highest temperatures of up to 45 degrees Celsius, with expectations for light rain on the far south of the country. It also warned of wind activity, which may lead to a disturbance in maritime navigation and the height of waves.
The commission stressed that the noticeable decrease in temperatures will start from tomorrow, Wednesday, announcing the broken wave and relatively stability of the atmosphere in various regions.

The very hot wave is still controlling most parts of the country, with temperatures today in the shade reached 40 degrees in Greater Cairo and 45 degrees Celsius in southern Upper Egypt. Meteorology expected that temperatures will start gradually from Wednesday in the north of the country, to Greater Cairo and North Upper Egypt, with values ranging from 3 to 4 degrees Celsius.
