Although many in Al -Ahly club nominated the Portuguese Carlos Kirosh, the former coach of the Egyptian team, to take over the team, Kirosh’s opportunity seems very difficult.
Al -Ahly officials have opened communication channels with several foreign coaches to take over the team to succeed Swiss Marcel Kuller, who is expected to be said soon after the team left the African Champions League semi -final. Al -Ahly tied with Sun Downs with a goal for each team in the second leg, after the first leg ended in a negative tie in South Africa.
A source in Al -Ahly, who is close to Kirosh, revealed that the latter no longer felt enthusiastic to return to work in training, especially with clubs, as his previous successes were with the teams and not with clubs.
The source pointed out that Kirosh reached a stage of “spherical saturation” as a result of his long experience, which makes him not enthusiastic about the idea of training clubs outside Europe.
The source added that it is not necessarily that Kirosh refuses Al -Ahly’s offer if he receives an official offer to be commensurate with him, but his success in this case will be in doubt.
The source said that it is better for Al -Ahly to search for a coach other than Kirosh, noting that the best option for the team during the coming period is a coach belonging to the German school.
