With Origin selection taking place after Round 11, a number of stars are back on deck to stake their claim for a blue or maroon jersey.
Roosters prop Lindsay Collins (knee) and Canberra forward Corey Horsburgh (concussion) are in strong contention for the Queensland team and are set to play this weekend but Storm hooker Harry Grant (hamstring) is on the reserves list and still has some hoops to jump through.
Blues winger Zac Lomax has been named in the centres for Parramatta but needs to pass a fitness test on his broken foot before being cleared to play in Friday night’s match against Newcastle.

Knights: Late changes with star centre Bradman Best dropping out. Dylan Lucas moves into the centres and Thomas Cant starts in the back row with Jack Hetherington joining the bench in his return from the shoulder injury that has sidelined since Round 5. Tyson Gamble came into the side at halfback in jersey No.19 on Thursday with Jack Cogger making way. Centre Dane Gagai is set for his 300th NRL game and will line up in the backline alongside 20-year-old debutant Fletcher Hunt.
Eels: Luca Moretti has come into the starting side an hour before kick-off and Ryan Matterson has been added to the bench. Matt Doorey drops out. Zac Lomax hasn’t played since Round 5 due to a foot injury and gets one chance to stake his claim for Blues Origin selection. Lomax’s return is a straight swap with Bailey Simonsson who picked up a foot injury last weekend. Toni Mataele is the new man on the bench and is set for his NRL debut. The Eels have won seven of their past eight games against the Knights.

Bulldogs: Harry Hayes is set to start a game for the first time this season as he comes in for Jaeman Salmon (ankle). Youngster Luke Smith is in line for an NRL debut off the bench. No changes in Thursday’s 24-hour update with Blake Taaffe the 18th man and Blake Wilson the reserve.
Roosters: Lindsay Collins will have one game to prove his fitness for a Queensland State of Origin call-up after he was named on the interchange. The representative forward hasn’t played since he suffered a knee injury in Round 5. The Roosters won two of three games coming off the bye in 2024. Ethan King and Salesi Foketi remained in the squad when it was trimmed on Thursday.

Dolphins: No changes to the squad that held on to defeat Parramatta last week with Daniel Saifiti (shoulder), Max Plath (foot) and Jeremy Marshall-King (leg) still sidelined. The Dolphins have scored 68 points in two games against the Warriors at Suncorp Stadium. Sean O’Sullivan is 18th man and Oryn Keeley also remained in the squad when it was trimmed on Friday.
Warriors: A massive boost 24 hours before kick-off with champion centre Roger Tuivasa-Sheck (hamstring) coming into the side in jersey No.22 for his first game since Round 3. Kurt Capewell reverts to the back row and Marata Niukore goes to the bench. Enforcer James Fisher-Harris is also back from a pectoral injury.

Cowboys: Young gun Jaxon Purdue has shifted from centre to five-eighth in a major shake-up to the North Queensland attack, with Tom Dearden to play halfback and Jake Clifford omitted. Zac Laybutt comes into the centres and is set for his first NRL match since tearing his ACL in Round 5 last year. Cowboys coach Todd Payten revealed on Friday “it was always our long-term plan to have Jaxon as our five-eighth or halfback within the club”.
Sea Eagles: Veteran prop Matthew Lodge has played two games in NSW Cup in recent weeks and is listed among the reserves as he chases a first NRL appearance since last year’ semi-finals. Jake Trbojevic has returned to lock as he looks to shore up his NSW Blues jumper. Jazz Tevaga moves back to hooker, with Ethan Bullemor to start at prop and Jake Simpkin shifting to the bench.Â

Sharks: Back-rower Teig Wilton is on track to return from a shoulder injury after being listed in the reserves but Tom Hazelton will miss the game after injuring his sternum against the Sea Eagles. Winger Ronaldo Mulitalo has scored 37 tries in 35 games at Sharks Stadium.
Storm: Captain Harry Grant could be called up late in the week as he looks to return from a hamstring injury and prove his fitness for the Origin opener. “He got through most of what we wanted him to get through on Thursday but we won’t take any chances,” coach Craig Bellamy said on Friday. Tui Kamikamica comes back in after missing Round 10 and Nelson Asofa-Solomona drops to the reserves list although Bellamy suggested the giant prop will make the trip to Sydney.

Broncos: Ezra Mam is set to play his first game of the NRL season and replaces veteran five-eighth Ben Hunt, who injured his hamstring last weekend. Just one other change to the team that fell to Souths with Xavier Willison named in the back row and Brendan Piakura on the bench, however they could switch on game day as they did last week.Â
Dragons: A shoulder injury to Toby Couchman has seen Jack de Belin come into the starting side, with Blake Lawrie the new face on the bench. Dylan Egan has been named in the back row and Luciano Leilua on the interchange but the duo could again trade places on game day. The Dragons have won seven of their past nine games against the Broncos.

Wests Tigers: Centre Starford To’a is on track to return from a neck injury. Charlie Staines has kept his place on the wing, with Brent Naden named on the interchange. A knee injury to Fonua Pole has seen prop Royce Hunt come into the starting side. The Tigers have won only two of their last 15 games at Campbelltown Sports Stadium.
Rabbitohs: Veteran Alex Johnston is back from a hamstring injury to continue his pursuit of the NRL’s all-time try-scoring record. He currently sits on 196 tries, just 16 behind Ken Irvine on 212. Josh Schuster has again been listed in the extended squad in his bid for a South Sydney debut. Â
