Algeria, _ Algeria is witnessing at dawn on Wednesday 20 August 2025, a rare astronomical scene, as the decreasing moon approaches the planets of Jupiter and Venus in a heavenly plate that can be easily monitored with the naked eye, according to what the research center in astronomy, astronomical physics and geophysics explained.

The center explained that the phenomenon will appear before sunrise, around five in the morning local time, on the eastern side of the sky, at an altitude of approximately 25 degrees from the horizon. The moon will be in a coupling position with the flower and the buyer, so that the corner distance between the moon and the flower does not exceed 6 arc, and between the moon and the buyer 7 arc.

It is expected that this rare scene will give an ideal opportunity to follow the crescent as it is adjacent to the most bright planets in the sky, as experts recommend to stay away from artificial lighting sources to get the best vision. The statement also indicated that the planet Mercury will be present in the scene, at a distance of approximately 10 degrees of the eastern horizon.

With this, the sky of Algeria in the early hours of Wednesday morning turns into an open theater for astronomers and lovers of monitoring natural phenomena, where scientific beauty meets visual surprise in an exceptional moment that does not repeat much.
